Deywos is a genuine silver jewelry concept, created by danish jewelry designer Kristian Krysfeldt Hansen. The Deywos combination jewelry concept enables you to create your own personalized jewelry, with parts that can be continually interchanged. It is enwoking European history and mythology, and its very name - Deywos - is the proto-indo european word for The Devine. The jewelry consists of either two or three parts that can be interchanged continually. All headpieces of both sizes can be combined with all pendants, and the three-part Thors Hammers can have shafts and hammerheads of both sizes interchanged. The hammerhead is fastened to the shaft with a wooden stick, and both sides is equally well suited as the frontside. This gives 4 different Torshammers with just 1 shaft and 1 bottom piece. Head pieces are kept in place with the necklace, which functions as the lock, going through both headpiece and pendant. Necklaces should thus not be thinner than 2,5 mm for headpieces to be kept proper position. With the ability to combine both front and back of both shaft and bottom, just 1 shaft, 1 bottom and 1 headpiece gives 8 different Torshammers.

Kristian Krysfeldt Hansen is the man behind Deywos. The jewelry concept and all jewelry designs and videos on deywos.com is created by him. He has made work for both major and minor danish jewelry companies before he introduced his own brand of combination jewelry in 2011. Kristian was trained in 1999 in an old jewelry technique used by the vikings, and all Deywos designs is handmade by him with this technique. Deywos is a true one-man garage start-up. It was a long process of trial and error, until Kristian finally achieved his goal - the combination abilities of Deywos jewelry that works in such simplicity, it could have been made by his Viking ancestors a thousand years ago, and so underscores the historical content of the designs.
The jewelry takes form from the history and myths of The Old North, which holds a special place to Kristian as a scandinavian. Even though the Old Norse societies were violent and militaristic, there are core Viking values that still holds true to our time. Courage and honour, martial spirit, self-reliability and an understanding of, and gratitude towards what was passed on to them, towards those who passed it on.
